About

I’ll be writing about art, architecture and the people that I know. I’ve been active in the L.A. art scene for almost 30 years. In the past, I exhibited my paintings, wrote articles and reviews, and published several catalogs on artists. I’ve also given lectures and participated in panel discussions about art. I own and direct a gallery located in Santa Monica that bears my name, founded in 1996. Readers can expect to find references to the artists that I show at the gallery, to be sure. But the mission of this blog is to explore—and hopefully illuminate—related issues, ideas and context in the world of art. I’ll be writing about art I don’t show, works that other people make. That’s what keeps me going. But I try to hold fast to the reason I got into this business in the first place—a passion for art.
Congratulations on your blog Frank!
will be visiting it more frequently
